Patpong
A few days after I arrived in Bangkok, my friends took me to Patpong. I was told that I would see falling stars. I thought it was some kind of a fake celestials show or whatever. When we arrived in the place I was flabbergasted!
It was my first time to see ago-go dancers live and I couldn’t believe I can actually see them through an open door. Patpong is a red district and also a night market where tourists get ripped off. We didn’t actually go to see the live show. We just went passed by them and all we could see at the ground floor were the dancers wearing only two-piece. The live shows were upstairs and they were not free.
Anyway, I thought Patpong is a good place to buy souvenirs although sometimes they can get a little expensive because it’s a place frequented by tourists. So many imitation stuff like branded watches, designer bags, pirated dvds and the likes. But despite its reputation, Patpong is a happy place to hang out only if you stay outside the showrooms and just look around the market.
