Remembering Amazing Thailand

The worst time to be on the road in Bangkok is on Friday afternoon until about nine to ten at night. Since we finish work at 4 pm we don’t get on the road until about 5 pm and when we get to Bangkok the traffic jam has already built up and sometimes we get stuck on the road for a couple of hours until we finally get to our apartments. Nevertheless, this never deterred us from going home every Friday. We’d better be stuck in a traffic jam than in that lonely house we stayed on weekdays.

Sometimes though when we have enough money we take the sky train to get home really fast. But this is a bit expensive because we had to hire a taxi to the train station which cost us around 10 baht each when we split the bill and the train ticket was 40 baht each. We couldn’t afford to do this all the time though. The bus would only cost us around 16 baht each. It’s like our money was just going to our transportation every weekend. But we survived.
